Leamington C&AC Triathlon Success

The Leamington C&AC Triathlon club championship was decided on the second weekend in September. The Southam Triathlon charity event with a 400m pool swim, a 20km bike and a 5km run provided some great racing and a fun, vibrant atmosphere.

The weather was dry and sunny with some wind to contend with on the bike leg.

Anouk Molliex (LC&AC) was the fastest lady on the day with a time of 1:13:54 beating Melissa Venables from Spa Striders (1:14:11).

Eóin O' Flynn (LC&AC) was the fastest man on the day with a time of 1:00:11 just beating by less than a second Mark Sykes (1:00:11).

Jason Haynes (LC&AC) captained and rode the bike leg of the winning relay team with a combined time1:05:37, second place relay team was also captained by an LC&AC rider Mike Dowling (1:12:08).

We would also all like to offer our congratulations to Helen Howells for a great result at the World Triathlon Championships in Beijing, 5th in her age group!
