| A cheque was presented to Anita Burrows from Myton Hospice in memory of
Phil Cooke. Lorraine and Jason Cook presented the cheque for £305,
accompanied by Steve Walker, Club Sec, and Roger Gardner, life-long friend
of Phil. The bike in the photo is one of Phil’s bikes, now being
ridden by Jason in Club Time Trials. The money was raised by members’
donations at a couple of the Club’s events in June and July. Phil spent his
last days in the hospice, suffering from cancer, in July 2005. |
